Other
vehicles - Please ask about other specific
makes/models. Standard versions may work in other vehicles assuming
that:
(1)
there is a center console that permits the cup holder to work in the
way intended,
(2) the height of the edge of the console is neither too high or too
low (generally, between a minimum of 5" and a maximum of about
6.75 "),
(3) there is adequate space behind and no obstructions, wiring, etc.,
and
(4) there is space for the holder in the chosen location.
Below
is a table of various vehicles fit and/or examined to date. The table
is not necessarily all-inclusive, and not all models shown have been
thoroughly tested. Rather, it reflects some of the cars that I've had
an opportunity to work with owners and/or examine. "Applicable"
indicates that I've confirmed fit and function with multiple owners.
"Appears applicable" indicates at least some, but more limited
experience or feedback, or that I still have questions regarding some
of the specifics of various models/years. I'll update the table as I
gain additional information and experience and as new versions are added.
All cup holder model references are to equivalent BMW versions that
work for that particular application (at least until I can figure out
a better way to present this).
New
universal versions will be available soon to fit most cars with a standard
seat-tunnel-seat configuration. If desired, these also should work in
those cars where the original versions are marked as applicable.
