Rear Console Mount for Fischer Cup Holder

A simple mounting bracket for the Fischer folding cup holders that permits installation at the rear of the center console in BMW E39 5 Series (and in other similarly designed cars). Easy, non-permanent, slip-in installation and removal. Attractive, compact design folds up and out of the way when not in use minimizing space requirements. Does not block rear vents or controls in closed or open positions.
Fischer rear console mount open.		Provides a much more functional replacement for ineffective factory can holders and for cars without rear holders. Large capacity - automatically adjusts to securely hold almost all shapes and sizes of beverage containers, with a diameter of up to 3 3/4" (94 mm). Holder mechanism automatically extends/closes as the unit is opened/closed. Bottom of case provides support for drink containers and acts as a drip-tray. Durable black matte finish blends well with most interiors.
Installation of Fischer rear console mount.		Very easily installed and removed - simply slips under the rear edge of the console. Other vehicles may require that the console mounting be loosened slightly to install (e.g., BMW E46 coupe). Small enough to stow in glove box when not in use. Stainless steel bracket will not rust or discolor carpet. Industrial quality 3M adhesive tape provides for secure mounting and easy attachment of bracket to holder. Also pre-drilled for optional use of bolts if desired. To install: 1. Wipe the rear of the Fischer holder with alcohol to make sure that it's clean so that you'll get a good bond with the mounting tape. 2. Peel off the red tape covering over the adhesive strip on the mounting bracket. Avoid touching the surface of either the tape or the holder. 3. Place both on a flat surface facing one another so that they're aligned properly and move them together. 4. Press and hold the holder and bracket together for a few seconds and then let sit to allow the tape to bond to the holder. Avoid testing the bond or attempting to pull them apart. Best to let it sit for a while if possible (although I know nobody will ; ). 5. To install in the car, slip the end of the bracket under the center of the rear edge of the console and then push in (toward the front of the car) until it slips fully under the edge and the holder is flush against the rear face of the console. That's it. The holders open easiest when grabbed at both sides versus trying to pry open the center.
